An exhibition featuring diamond jewelry crafted by members of the Israel Community of Designers opened Thursday at the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum in Ramat Gan, Israel.Twenty-five contemporary jewelry designers were provided with 3 carats of diamonds valued at $5000, which they used to produce unique jewelry pieces. The featured pieces include earrings, pendants, rings, pins, necklaces, bracelets and one piece that is both a pendant and a piece of art. The Israel Community of Designers represents Israel's practicing professional designers in the fields of industrial, graphic and jewelry design. "Providing outstanding designers with diamonds, the most important gemstone, is a challenge that guarantees interesting results. The resulting designs of diamond jewelry have turned this exhibition into an expression of international excellence in terms of design and industry," said Israel Community of Designers President David Grossman. At the conclusion of the exhibition, the jewelry will be placed on sale.
